The original Virginia Home Furnishings store was the result of great success selling Tom Seely furniture in our other business, Blue Ridge Antique Center. Opening in 1997 and enjoying immediate success, Virginia Home Furnishings quickly expanded to include a location in Roanoke, Virginia. Sensing a need in the region for a different type of furniture store, we opened a store in 2001 at our present location in Rocky Mount, VA.
By combining tremendous selection and everyday low prices we attract customers from throughout Southwest and Central Virginia. An expansion the following year, which included consolidating our furniture operations under the Virginia Furniture Market name, and the addition of our Just For Kids store in 2004 (renamed in 2017 to VFM Kids & Teens), and opening our largest showroom in Christiansburg (November 2018) further increased our customer base to include an even larger portion of Virginia, North Carolina and West Virginia.
